hat’s luxury without a little fun? That’s what Acura engineers had in mind when they designed the new 2015 TLX under the theme of “Red Carpet Athlete.”
Powered by two 8- and 9-speed transmissions, the all-new sedan features the most advanced dynamic package ever offered by Acura. With new powertrain and super-handling technologies, along with sophisticated design and a sleek new style, the TLX truly earns the name “performance luxury.”
Replacing the TL and the TSX in their mid-size sedan lineup, the TLX boasts the same long wheelbase of the TL with several inches more interior space, allowing five people to sit comfortably.The taut body design emphasizes strong lines and dynamically sculpted fender arches, adding to the solid stance and sporty character.
State-of-the-art technology on Acura’s cloud-based connectivity system rounds out the elegant design, with a seven-inch touch screen display; Bluetooth® and Siri compatibility; keyless access; navigation; real-time traffic; a 10-speaker, 450-watt sound system; GPS-based climate control; and more.
A variety of electronic and sensor-based safety features round out the TLX experience, including forward collision and lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitor, and collision mitigation braking.
Two new powertrains utilizing direct injection will bring higher output and more linear and responsive power delivery. The A-6 model will also be available with Acura’s new hydraulically-controlled torque-vectoring Super Handling All Wheel Drive™. Combined with the Acura Precision All-Wheel Steer standard on all models, the TLX promises sharper turning on low-speed corners and even greater stability.
